Big Walk Map & Landmarks — Scoped Route Guide
A relative landmark sequence for choosing the group’s next travel goal.
Table of contents
This is a route-planning companion, not a full map. Big Walk is built around exploring a wide-open world with friends. Use this page to understand the large route relationships, then open the focused coordinate or transport guide when the group needs an exact next step.
What the world asks the group to do
The adventure mixes open exploration with challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. Progress is cooperative, and the world can change between the 2-player, 3-player, and 4+-player versions selected by the host.
That makes one fixed route unsuitable for every group. Plan around the world version you entered and the players who are present.
Use communication boundaries as landmarks
Distance and structures change communication. Voices may echo in corridors, become muffled by walls, or disappear across longer distances. Text can become unreadable across distance or soundproof glass.
When those changes occur, note the last place where the whole group could communicate. It is a practical reunion point if players split up.
Before leaving a recognizable area
- Make sure everyone knows the next visible direction of travel.
- Agree on a place to return to if communication is lost.
- Keep players without a walkie-talkie within voice or text range.
- Use pointing and waving to confirm direction before the group spreads out.
- Let the host's selected world version guide how many people commit to a challenge.
Coast and open water
The ocean is part of the world. The coast can be a place to stop, watch the sunset, or lose a friend's binoculars. Use a clear shoreline feature as a temporary orientation point, but do not assume every stretch of coast leads to the same objective.
What this page does not claim
It does not claim exhaustive object locations, a shortest route, true scale, or north alignment. It helps a group stay oriented without turning a verified set of landmarks into a falsely complete map.
Open the focused route you need
- Use the map and compass location guide when the group still needs to open the Map Room or find the navigation-tool table.
- Use the coordinate guide to read the map grid and look up currently documented towers, transports, and challenges.
- Use the tower and control-panel route when a full panel has produced an oversized key.
- Use the train route, chairlift route, or tunnel route for boarding, carrying, and regrouping instructions.
- Use the puzzle navigator to choose the complete solution page for the unlock that is blocking the group.
