Big Walk Clifftop Golf Puzzle

A two-marker carry route from the shared Golf Tee to the cliff-edge hole and Purple Blob reward.

Table of contents

Quick answer: Clifftop Golf has a separate start and finish. Collect the ball at the shared Golf Tee, carry it to the cliff-edge blue platform with the orange flag, place it inside that hole, and wait for the Purple Blob. Do not confuse the other golf destination in the ravine with this one.

Understand the two-marker route

The flag is the destination, not the place where the ball starts. The interactive map lists two different points that matter:

  1. Golf Tee — the shared starting point for the ball.
  2. Clifftop Golf Puzzle — the cliff-edge hole that awards the Purple Blob.

The same Golf Tee also serves the separate Ravine Golf Puzzle. Decide which endpoint you are solving before anyone moves the ball. This page covers only the Clifftop Golf destination.

Find the shared Golf Tee

Open the interactive map and search for Golf Tee. At the location, look for a blue upright frame on a short stepped base among trees and rocks. Treat this as the start station even though it is not beside the cliff flag.

Use the blue frame and short stepped base to confirm the shared Golf Tee. This scene identifies the start station but does not prove whether a ball has already been moved in your world.

Before picking anything up, have the group confirm that the next destination is Clifftop Golf, not Ravine Golf. That one sentence prevents the most expensive mistake in this otherwise simple puzzle.

Identify the Clifftop Golf destination

Search the map for Clifftop Golf Puzzle and use its pin as the finish. The scene is a raised blue platform with steps and an orange flag at the cliff edge. It is not a building and it is not the golf endpoint down in the ravine.

The Clifftop Golf destination, with blue steps and an orange flag on a platform at the cliff edge
The blue stepped platform, orange flag, and exposed cliff identify the Clifftop Golf finish. This scene reference does not show a complete start-to-finish carry.

Have at least one player recognize this finish before the ball leaves the tee. The guide does not claim one exact terrain route between the two pins, so use the ground and obstacles visible in the current world.

Assign transport roles

  • Ball Carrier: owns the ball from the tee until it is seated in the hole.
  • Route Guide: keeps the Clifftop Golf map pin selected, stays ahead when useful, and stops the carrier from drifting toward the ravine endpoint.
  • Spotter, if available: watches the ball at awkward edges and confirms the final placement.

These are guide callouts, not classes shown by the game. With two players, one carrier and one guide are enough; extra players should support that same route instead of taking the ball in competing directions.

Carry the ball from the tee

  1. Confirm the ball belongs to the Golf Tee start station before moving it.
  2. Keep the Clifftop Golf finish selected on the map.
  3. Let the Ball Carrier take control of the ball while the Route Guide moves toward the next safe section.
  4. Carry the ball across the current terrain toward the cliff-edge blue platform.
  5. Stop and regroup if the flag is no longer the agreed destination.

The verified solution says to carry the ball. This page does not tell you to take golf strokes, kick it from the tee, throw it over the cliff, or finish in a fixed number of moves. Those actions and a fastest route have not been verified.

Place the ball inside the hole

  1. Bring the ball onto the blue platform by the orange flag.
  2. Locate the marked hole before releasing the ball.
  3. Lower or place the ball into the hole rather than leaving it beside the flag, on the platform, or against the rim.
  4. Stop moving the object and give the puzzle time to show its current result.

Reaching the flag is only arrival. The recorded solve condition is placing the ball into the hole.

Confirm the Purple Blob

Use the Purple Blob becoming available as the completion check. A ball carried to the platform, a player standing by the flag, or an object resting next to the hole does not prove that the puzzle registered.

Do not carry the ball away again until the group has read the reward state. If the scene changes in a way this page does not describe, follow the current world rather than forcing the object back to a screenshot position.

Recover without guessing

  • You reached a golf goal but no Purple Blob appears: verify that the map pin says Clifftop Golf rather than Ravine Golf.
  • The ball is beside the flag: put it inside the marked hole and pause; the verified action is not merely reaching the platform.
  • The group loses track of the ball: return to the last place where the Ball Carrier can confirm holding it, then retrace that route together.
  • The Golf Tee looks different from the image: check whether another player already moved the ball and read the current interaction state before assuming the start is broken.
  • The ball still cannot be found or the scene visibly resets: use only the controls and state shown by the current world. No exact reset button, checkpoint behavior, reload outcome, or Lost & Found recovery has been verified for this ball.

Do not replace the missing ball with an unrelated round object unless the game itself clearly accepts it.

Account for world size

Big Walk can present worlds for different group sizes, and some puzzle content can change with that choice. The confirmed contract here is the shared Golf Tee, the Clifftop Golf hole, the carry action, and the Purple Blob reward.

No fixed route, ball count, stroke count, target count, or complete 2-player, 3-player, and 4+-player layout table has been verified. Let the objects and interactions visible in the host's selected world override any assumption.
